Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry

full name; Honey Alexis Flume.
birthdate and age; June 18, 1974; 21.
occupation; Night manager for the Enchanted Tea Leaf, a little cafe in Diagon Alley.

alumnus; Ravenclaw, Class of 1981, though she don't really look it, or act like it, for that matter. Truth is, while she doesn't act like a regular old bookworm, or look the part in the least, Honey is tremendously interested in history -- studying it, learning from it, throwing dates and quotes and precedence out any time opportunity affords her a chance to air her opinions and knowledge.
bloodline; Halfblood -- both her parents are halfbloods, with one Muggle parent each.
hometown and current residence; Honey grew up in Hogsmeade, that entirely magical town just outside of Hogwarts. At least, where Hogwarts used to be. Her parents, Ambrosius and Melantha, ran Honeyduke's Sweetshop, where Honey learned to make fudge and chocolate to sell as well, and lived just a few houses down from the shop itself, and they did damn well... up until Hogwarts was closed and business was cut in half. Her parents have held many a hushed discussion about whether or not they should sell the shop and set up a smaller shop in Diagon Alley. Surely, it wouldn't attract as many schoolchildren with pockets bulging with money sent straight from their parents just for being good kids and surviving school, but it would keep them running.

family and family history;
Father - Ambrosius Flume.
Mother - Melantha Flume.
Brother - Duke Flume.

Ambrosius and Melantha first met in Hogwarts, when Mel was a first year and Am was a fifth year. It wasn't love at first sight -- the age difference posing a significant obstacle in that happily ever after scenario, -- but it was something. The first time the two found themselves down by the fire in the Ravenclaw Common Room, heads buried in their books, practically alone, a conversation began without either one knowing quite what had just happened. The words flowed easily, the laughter filled the room, and a friendship formed in moments. It wasn't a close friendship at first, but there was a confidence between the two, a bond that no one could name, and, quite likely, a similar maturity level. Both of them were a little off for their age.
It took until Am's seventh year for him and Mel to start a relationship, though the age difference was fodder for too many jokes in their circles of friends. She was at least near 14, and he was just 17, and, if they lasted a few more years, until they reached their twenties, or thirties, or forties, or older! If they just lasted until then, the age difference would be nothing. Am just didn't want to miss out on an opportunity to find the love of his life.
And, despite the age difference, and the adorably mismatched pair of the shy but loveable nerd and the enthusiastic teacher's pet, the round-faced, forgettable seventh year and his gangly, yet pretty, third year girlfriend, was a sweet and admirably happy couple. Their relationship was a pure and sweet, based on a friendship and reinforced by undeniable chemistry, and, by the time Am was finished with his education, the two were hopelessly in love. The following school year, he took to visiting Hogsmeade any chance he found, any time Mel told him about a Hogsmeade weekend, and eventually rented a place in town to be close to her. The next few years were difficult, with her still in school and him barely able to see her, but Mel and Am found ways to make it work. They were happy together, and they would stay happy together, and on Mel's final day at Hogwarts, Am proposed to her.
Yes, they were young, yes, their relationship had almost been a long distance relationship for the past few years, yes, they were foolish and had no money, yes, there were a million reasons to tell Am she wanted to wait and be young and in love for just a little while longer before thinking about marriage... but Mel couldn't say that to him. No one thought they would last when she stuck her hand out for him to place his cheap ring on her finger. Am and Mel would prove them wrong.
They were married just a few months later, and, the following summer, their first daughter, Honey Alexis Flume, was born. They might have been too young to start a family already, but Mel and Am were determined to stick it out. Through every fight, through every tough time, thick and thin, sickness and health, good and bad, they would stick it out and work at their relationship. They hadn't spent four years exhausting owls and risking detention just to call it quits after a few years. That took work.
In the time Mel was finishing her schooling and Am was living in Hogsmeade, he had taken a job at Buckswill's Sweets. Not the best name for a sweets shop, but the owner, J.J. Buckswill, didn't give a flying hoot. As a sales assistant and little else, Am wasn't making top dollar, but it was money, and it kept him in his little flat down the street. He had considered what else he might do once Mel was out of school and they had the entire world at their feet, not just Hogsmeade, but each dream faded as he served another customer, stacked another shelf, sweeped another floor. It wasn't the dead end job that made his dreams fade, it was the people and the town, and it wasn't misery, it was a surprising pleasance. When he was in Hogwarts, Am had always generally disregarded the people of Hogsmeade, had ignored them and headed straight for the Three Broomsticks and congregated with all the other Hogwarts students, but he found himself actually quite liking Hogsmeade. This wasn't a bad place to live, and, rumour had it, ol' J.J. was planning on selling the shop soon on account of his health...
It wasn't two weeks after Honey was born that Am made his first payment on Buckswill's Sweets. But they would have to do something about that name.
Mel and Am were equal partners in the business, and when Hogsmeade weekends for the school kids rolled around, business boomed. They operated under the old name for a few years, more out of laziness and an inability to think up a clever name than any desire to please Buckswill, or the slightest inkling that Buckswill's was drawing in customers left and right, but, sooner or later, the name had to change. And the day Duke Flume was born, his father was in the middle of hanging the new sign, the bright yellow and pink sign that read "Honeyduke's Sweetshop" when his wife told him she had gone into labour. He immediately dropped the sign and busted it into three pieces.
Honeyduke's business boomed. The Hogsmeade weekends seemed more than able to help pay for the slow days, and allowed Mel and Am to take a day or two off here and there, maybe even hire a teenager fresh out of school to help run the shop on weekends. Thank god for those Hogsmeade weekends. If it weren't for them, someone was going to have to dig a tunnel straight through to Hogwarts.
personal background; Details are important, so be as long-winded as you like. We'd like to see at least a few developed paragraphs.

appearance; Honey is not the kind of person to blend into the woodwork and not be spotted in a crowd. Not content to just be 5'11", Honey has a tendency to jack that height up a couple inches with platform boots, or stiletto heels, or anything that just does not seem right on anyone over 5'5". While she was gawky as hell in her school days, Honey eventually found a way to grow into and accept her height and willowy build, and, one day, will probably actually fill out and get a body more like that of her mother (or, if she crosses the wrong gypsy, her father). She has green eyes, like her mother, though hers are much lighter, and her face is round, with high cheekbones and a smattering of freckles. Her skin is deceptively pale, only occasionally staying true to her ethnicity and appearing dark -- though, more often than not, she looks either 100% white, or like she just got back from a trip to some warm island and her sunburn has faded to a light tan. Honey tends to force a contrast between her hair (which is naturally a dark brown) and her skin by dying it a platinum blonde, because when it's brown, you could never tell she was biracial. She keeps her hair short, with varying degrees of length, but never long enough to actually reach past her ears. Her hair simply does not look good when it's long enough to reach her chin, and her face is not one that needs to be framed. It's too round, it looks better when it's free and being shown off.
Honey's physical features are too unique and her personality too out there to let her personal style downplay a damn thing. She's thin enough to pull of tight tube tops and halter tops, and her legs are long enough to wear something short or tight pants. Sometimes, she has to be warned that she's looking a little trashy. Sometimes being a little too much of the time. She's not afraid to take chances with her hair, as short as it is and as easy as it would be to grow it back to that same length, and has shaved it off, dyed it several, several colours, shaved it into a mohawk, and, once, even tried to pull off a mullet. Oh, that mullet was terrifying, but she tried her damndest to rock it. She loves her outfits to be as bright as her hair and her personality, and her jewelry, which varies from massive hoop earrings to sequined headbands with hideously huge bows, completes the look with her bold make up -- which always seems to help make her look paler, something she has yet to notice.
pb; Jael Strauss.

personality; The same guidelines apply as to the background.

affiliation and reasoning; Ashwinder Coalition. When she first heard of them, she thought they were terrorists and heartless sons of bitches for everything they had done to the country and the Wizarding world. But... then she got to know Jay Blue, who, it had turned out, was both a regular at the ETL and a key member of the Ashwinder Coalition. The more he told her about everything he and the others had done, the more she came to the realization that they had been framed for many of the acts blamed on them, that they had been painted all wrong. She didn't know what the Order of the Phoenix was at that point, and the Ashwinders seemed like the only people who could satisfy her desire for change and a revolution of new ideas. She's since heard of and worked with some members of the Order, but the Ashwinders just seem more efficient and ready to take action than the Order. Get things done, folks! Revolutionize!
purity beliefs; Please explain. We don't just want a game full of characters who all have the same reasons for their beliefs!

sexual orientation; Heterosexual.
romantic status; Dating Stubby Boardman, despite him being nearly twice her age. She met him through Rupert Croaker, Celestina Warbeck's manager, and they have the best times together. They amuse each other, and Honey is one of the girls who can stand up to the criticism and derision of Stubby's more hardcore fangirls, despite how many years retired Stubby is.
